Frequently asked questions


1. Q: I have booked a cleaner online. What comes next?

A: You will receive an email notification. If no cleaners are available at your requested time-slot, our Customer Service team will contact you to find an alternative timing.


2. Q: Who will be cleaning my house?

A: ShirClean will assign one trained domestic cleaner to your home on a regular basis. In the event that the assigned domestic cleaner does not wish to continue service, all efforts will be made to a find a replacement and is subject to availability of cleaner in your location. You will be given prior notification of the necessary changes.

3. Q: Do I have to be here when the cleaner arrives?

A: We recommend that you welcome your cleaner on the first booking in order to orientate him/her around the house and to discuss your requirements.

4. Q: Are the domestic cleaners in ShirClean trained?

A: Yes, All our domestic cleaners are required to go through on job training for at least 2 session.

5. Q: Do we need to be home while the cleaning is in progress?

A: We recommend that you welcome your cleaner on the first booking in order to orientate him/her around the house and to discuss your requirements.


6. Q: How do I make payment?

A: We do have online secure payment after you confirmed the booking.

7. Q: Do I have to commit to a long-term contract?

A: No, we allow you to stop the service at any time by giving a one month's notice to terminate.


8. Q: Are there any charges fees for cancelling or reschedule a booking?

A: There are no fees for cancellation booking unless: Cancellation or Rescheduling is requested 48 hours or lesser to the service date and time then cancellation fee ($20) is required to make the necessary changes. This will be charged to your card, per the agreement of the disclaimer at point of booking - That ShirClean will charge a penalty fee of 1 hour should you decide to cancel / reschedule 48 hours or less, from booking time and date, after booking has been confirmed and you authorise us to do so.


9. Q: Do I have to provide the cleaning material?

A: Yes, Customer must provide cleaners with cleaning equipment such as a vacuum cleaner, mop, window wiper, detergent for different floor types, cleaning cloth, ladder, pails and brushes for both weekly, bi-weekly and monthly.
